Botanical Photographs

According to Google’s Generative AI, “Botanical photography aims to capture a plant’s unique characteristics in a realistic way. A successful botanical photograph can tell a story about a plant’s parts, such as its stems, petals, or symmetry.” That seems about right to me. Almost all of these were made in the St. Louis County, Missouri area, where I lived from 1987 – 2020. We didn’t have mountains and grand vistas there, but we did have a lot of humidly, adequate rain and sun, and dozens of species of plants per square yard.
